Richard Ramirez was a Mexican American serial killer who killed 14 people in Los Angeles and San Francisco during the mid 1980's. Ramirez was born in El Paso, Texas, and moved to California in 1983 where the killings took place. As a child, he did not develop proper social skills as a result of being constantly abused by his parents and hanging out with scandalous crowds. Ramirez dropped out of highschool, and supported himself by robbing houses. He was age 53 at the time of his death, but was 24 at the time of committing his serial killings.
